HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TOUR

Three night-four day fully guided Tour to northern KwaZulu Natal visiting Imfulosi-Hluhluwe, Mkhuze and St Lucia big game reserve areas which also provide excellent birding opportunities Accommodation on all three nights is at the small, intimate family owned and run Malala Lodge on a dinner bed and breakfast rate. Tour price includes park entry fees, light picnic luncheons in the parks and bottled water drinks on the vehicle but not including alcohol refreshments which are for the guest’s own account. Tour also includes a hippopotamus and crocodile viewing estuary boat trip ( about two hours in duration) at St Lucia weather permitting or a game viewing drive to Cape Vidal. Tour commences in Durban at about 07h00 on Day one and ends back in Durban on Day four at about 18h00.




Location

A beautiful oasis on the waters edge of M'libizi Bay near the entrance of the Zambezi River into Lake Kariba.  

Guest Accommodation

Guest are accommodated in 3 separate chalets;

   1.

      Zebra.... Queen size bed with bathroom ensuite, own balcony, large drop down mosquito nets.
   2.

      Guinea Fowl.... 3 single beds with shower and toilet ensuite, large drop down mosquito nets.
   3.

      Hippo.... Queensize bed and one single bed with shower and toilet ensuite, own balcony. Large drop down mosquito nets.

      Dining room with a heavy wooden 10 seater dining room suite
      Open plan kitchen has 2 deep freezers and 2 fridges , 4 plate stove with oven and microwave.  
      Upstairs 'look out' balcony.

      Motorized pontoon for up to 20 people.
      Jetty with sun canopy for speed boat.  
      Magnificent garden with water features that run through the lounge and dining room and into the main garden.

Behind the Scenes

      Storeroom, Double Carport  and double lock-up storerooms.  
      Domestic quarters.... 3 bedrooms with shower, toilet and kitchen.
      Power connected to Zesa. Water is pumped from the river into a huge holding tank which feeds both the chalets and the garden.
      Property fenced and gated.   

Potential

The lodge is not currently operating on a commercial basis but is used for family and friends of the owners.  There is potential to add more chalets which could be built relatively cheaply using local materials.

The fishing lodge is for sale 'voetstoots' with all bedding, cutlery, etc.
